The uses to which the Pop-Up Shop in Fremlin Walk are being out has been expanded over the last three months. It is being used to hold MMF events and meetings, providing a real focal point in the town centre for Friends. The Trustees are already holding monthly Board meetings. And the Events’ calendar commences in early September with a talk by Robin Ambrose, local historian and author. These are in addition to the uses the shop has been put over the last (interrupted) year – selling prints by a local artist, showing displays about the town, raising the profile of the Museums, and offering opportunities for young people to engage in activities (like brass rubbing, and having their photograph taken next to Vera the dinosaur).
