The Charity is governed by a group of volunteer Trustees, who meet monthly as a Board.

We recognise the importance of attracting young people to become involved in the Museums. To this end, we run a MMF Youth Ambassador programme.
Ambassadors are recruited annually. They attend MMF board meetings (when they can), and promote MMF and the Museums in their school(s). There is more about this initiative on the Youth Ambassadors’ page

Maidstone Museums’ Friends are part of a wider network across the the UK of those local groups who support culture and Heritage. We are members of the British Association of Friends of Museums (BAFM)
