June 2024
It was all fun and games inside and outside the Museum Friends’ Shop when entertainers promoted the Maidstone Museum’s new gallery. Adam and Leanne from local business Keep Calm and Book Us shared their time between the Museum and the shop in Fremlin Walk on Saturday June 8, 2024, in celebration of the Lives in our Landscape (LIOL) gallery, opened a few days earlier by actor Hugh Dennis. Adam mystified visitors and shoppers with his card magic, while Leanne strutted her stuff on stilts outside the shop. They joined Maidstone Museums’ Foundation volunteers in telling passers-by about the exciting new £600,000 gallery, part funded by generous donations in an MMF fundraising campaign.
The new gallery has earned high praise from visitors.
